Suze Orman has many New York Times Bestsellers under her belt such as 9 Steps To Financial Freedom, Courage To Be Rich and her most popular without any publicity except for four minutes on the Today Show, The Road To Wealth.

On the Philippe Matthews Show, Suze talks about the Road To Wealth and chronicles the multitude of questions she receives from her avid fans. It is a comprehensive financial manual where it gives you guiding tips along the continuum of your life, from managing your finances when you are single, married, children and retirement.

In the introduction of The Road To Wealth, Suze expressed that she strongly believes that the obstacles that keep us from having more and being more are rooted in the emotional, psychological, and spiritual conditions that have shaped our thoughts. And that emotion rule one's action when it comes to money. Hence one can truly achieve financial freedom when one's self-worth equals to their nett worth. Thinking otherwise or debating which is more important is a poor game because at the end of the day, we do not take a single penny with us.

On the discussion of debt set point where it is the highest threshold of debt that anyone can withstand, it is critical to work on one's self worth along with net worth that is really the heavy weight player in debt trouble in the first place. It is one thing to keep to the main stream of impressing others' and the other to define who you really are without the material goods or toys. Hence, her advice was that to eliminate bad debt, it involves working on the reasons one get into debt in the first place.

And with credit card companies and debt, her tip for you is to always pay more than the minimum because the game the bank's are playing is to have you pay little to the minimal so that they will reap the interest factor. The lesser you pay, the longer you pay which ultimately sums up to you paying more.

Finally discussing people, money and things, Suze has this to say,"There is a major law of money and that is, people first, then money then things." The reason is sound and that is because money flows through people, money cannot be transformed to anything else without humans. And that emotions dictate how much one can have and get to keep and has nothing to do if we were born in a silver spoon or not.

One needs to accept the financial reality that money is not about the material possessions, how one uses it is important to note because it affects all of us, it is the currency of life. And to address those who feel that money is bad, think again, because take for example the churches we have, it is only operational ready because of the monetary support it gets and once again, you cannot take the money with you and for the record, God does not need your money!
